The Department of Public Policy and Administration hosted the 2017 Annual Conference of the Mississippi Political Science Association (MSPSA) earlier this year.
The theme of the conference was “Politics, Policy and Diversity.” The conference encourages academic interaction on topics related to developments in the field of political science as well as political developments in local, state, national and international governments.
Featured speakers at the conference were former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Espy and Mississippi state Rep. Angela Cockerham. Other guests included political scientists, faculty, and undergraduate and graduate students.
Attendees represented Belhaven University, Delta State University, Jackson State University, Millsaps College, Mississippi College and Mississippi Valley State University and other institutions.
