Wendy B. Scott, the first African-American to serve as dean of the Mississippi College School of Law, delivered the keynote address at Jackson State University’s fall graduate commencement.
Scott presented four key points: (1) “Never give yourself all the credit for your accomplishments,” (2) “Never underestimate your own abilities,” (3) “Know your history,” and (4) “Have the courage, commitment and compassion to work toward social and economic equality for all citizens.”
