Grammy award winning singer Jennifer Hudson has returned after three years with a remarkable sophomore album entitled, “I Remember Me.” It includes her latest hit singles “Where You At” and “Feeling Good.

Hudson took a hiatus after the death of her mother, brother, and nephew in 2008 and the birth of her son David.

Although Jennifer Hudson did not win season 3 of American Idol, she has had much success as an actress and an artist.

The much thinner Hudson makes her comeback with the upbeat, flirtatious soul album with the help of featured artists Alicia Keys, R. Kelly, and Ne-Yo.

According to usatoday.com, the R. Kelly penned single “Where You At” and the remake of the Nina Simone’s classic “Feeling Good,” have introduced fans to Hudson’s new music, which blends classic and contemporary R&B styles in a way that should thrill fans of the singer’s music during and after American Idol’s season three.

Hudson’s voice has been known to send chills down one’s spine and that is exactly what she does on this project with her high-powered, soulful voice.

“I Remember Me” takes on different musical styles with singles such as the neo-disco “Everybody Needs Love,” the contemporary classic R&B “Don’t Look Down,” and a touch of gospel with “Believe.”

In a recent interview on BET, Hudson said that she loves the person she was then and she loves who she is now and this album is a way of still holding on to a part of her old self which is why the album is entitled “I Remember Me.”

In another interview she said, “This album is a new introduction to me. It’s the feeling of a journey, rediscovering myself and getting to know myself all over again.”

Other tracks to listen to on this CD include: “No One Gonna Love You,” “Angel,” “Don’t Look Down,” and “I Got This.”

The album is great and I recommend you go out and get it.
