While college students face the world of classes, studying and homework, many times they need help managing their time.  Many smart phones now have apps that can aid in this process. The five applications are great for students who are busy and need help reaching personal and educational goals.  Here are the top five helpful applications that students can download to their phones and other smart devices to help them with time management.

5. The Brain Age Test App.
Unfortunately, this application is only available to individuals who have Android market on their phone. This app is beneficial because it allows the individuals to have fun while working out their brain. It assists with keeping the short-term memory strong. Not only does the Better Brain Age Test application work to improve memory, it also works to measure a person’s skills in understanding concepts, along with problem solving.

4. Flashlight App.
There are many flashlight apps available for smart phones.  While this may seem like an app that is not needed, you may be very surprised. College campuses are large and may students find themselves walking back to their dormitories late at night by themselves. If someone feels uncomfortable and thinks that it is too dark where they are walking they can take out rehired phone and turn the flashlight on. The screen of your phone may seem handy but has a short life. You have to continuously tap the screen to make sure that it stays on. The Flashlight apps are usually really reliable for staying on until you cut them off. If you happen to drop something and cannot find it or you digging around in your purse for the pen you can never seem to find, you can easily turn the flashlight on your smart phone to help you see.

3. The Merriam-Webster dictionary App.
Lugging around textbooks is cumbersome enough form many students so who needs the added hassle of carrying an enormous dictionary as well. The mobile Merriam-Webster dictionary is a great tool to have for every college student. Not only does it include definitions from Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, this app offers voice search – to allow you to look up a word if you do not know the correct spelling – along with synonyms, antonyms, example sentences, Word of the Day, and many more great features. Having the Merriam-Webster Dictionary on your smart device provides you with help at a glance.

The New Year has arrived and there are many students looking to begin their healthy eating habits and workout regimens. The Lose It application is a great way to start your new journey. The fantastic thing about the Lose It app is that it sets a time limit of how long it should take you to reach your goal. It has settings where the individuals utilizing it can add their food intake throughout the day and it adds the amount of calories you have taken in. You have the chance to have a food log on your smart device where ever you go. The Lose It app also has a database that includes different brands of food and many restaurants to help the users. 1. Banking Mobile Apps. Many banks are already mobile or are going mobile because there are so many people with smart devices. If you are a student and have a banking account of any kind, you should consider downloading the app for your bank if one is available. With the bank apps, you can easily check your information without the hassle of calling the bank and having to wait for what seems like an eternity to speak with someone. You can also avoid the long, tedious automated systems where to listen to an automated person telling you what to do. The fantastic thing about mobile baking apps is that when your card is swiped anywhere at any time, a notification automatically comes to your phone to immediately notify you.
