Homecoming is all about school pride but what would school pride be without a hype squad?
\nThe Tiger Hype Squad was created to encourage and support fan interaction at Jackson State University athletic events and to ensure fans have a great game day experience through game promotions, games, and face-to-face interactions.<\/p>\n

Sponsored by the marketing department at JSU, you often see the Tiger Hype Squad giving away freebies and blasting t-shirts in the stands at football games but they do more than that. The squad not only gets the fans hype for football games but for other sporting events as well, including volleyball and soccer.
\n\u201cWe want to bring the hype to all athletic events,\u201d said Tiger Hype advisor, Jamea Adams-Ginyard, Assistant Marketing Manager.<\/p>\n

Gabriel Babineaux, a senior mass communications major from Houston, Texas and President of The Tiger Hype Squad said there are benefits to being in the organization.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you come to college, it\u2019s always about being involved in different organizations and that\u2019s what Tiger Hype is. It is an organization but it\u2019s all about camaraderie and Jackson State athletics. Tiger Hype will also be participating in the Homecoming Game,\u201d said Babineaux.<\/p>\n

Tiger Hype will be shooting freebies into the stands at the Homecoming game on Saturday. You can expect T-shirts, bags, wrist bands; all things JSU to be launched in the crowd. So get ready!<\/p>\n

Erin Miller, sophomore finance major from McDunough, Ga, initially joined Tiger Hype because she felt the organization has a lot of potential.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to see more school spirit because coming in as a freshman, I heard that the school use to be much more spirited and I would like to restore that back to JSU by being a part of Tiger Hype,\u201d said Miller.
\nJackie Manuel Jr., a junior computer science from Compton, Calif. and SGA Rep of Tiger Hype, wanted to get more involved on campus.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wanted to inspire everybody to be more exciting around campus. It\u2019s always fun and we always get to give away free stuff and make people smile. More students should definitely join Tiger Hype so we can get the school back to how it use to be and have more excitement around campus,\u201d said Manuel.
\n\u201cTiger Hype is a growing organization, we want to grow so large to the point we have meet in the AAC or Walter Payton\u201d said Adams-Ginyard.<\/p>\n
