Jackson State University and Tennessee State University will battle it out in the 22nd annual Southern Heritage Classic.<\/p>\n Last year the JSU Tigers managed to defeat TSU 33-26. This was JSU\u2019s first win in seven years. Casey Therriault led JSU with 23 completed passes out of 38, a total of 284 yards and four touchdowns.<\/p>\n People are expecting a great game this year.<\/p>\n According to Zavien Magee, a sophomore Political Science major from Bass Field, Miss., \u201cI think the game will be very jubilant and the outcome will be Jackson State prevailing over Tennessee State.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m expecting a great football game with Jackson State being the victor at the end\u201d, said Perrin Bostic, a sophomore Healthcare Administration major from Little Rock, Arkansas.<\/p>\n Many people plan to attend this year\u2019s classic.<\/p>\n Jennifer Livisay, a Junior Biology\/Pre Med major from Memphis said, \u201cI am definitely attending to see JSU and the Sonic Boom take the victory again.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI am going to the game and think Jackson State is going to win and have a victory\u201d, said Bryant Steel, a Senior Business major from Philadelphia, Miss.<\/p>\n Some people like Andrekia Simmons plan to watch the game on television.<\/p>\n \u201cI plan to watch it on television since I\u2019m not going home,\u201d said Simmons, a freshman Computer Engineering major from Memphis,Tenn.<\/p>\n Kickoff for the classic is set for September 10 at 6:00 p.m. at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By: Derrick Walton Staff Writer It is that time of the year again.
