<\/a>Diamond Jenkins <\/strong> Jackson State University students now have a place to charge electric cars if they choose to purchase them thanks to Entergy Mississippi. On Oct.10, Entergy unveiled the charger\u00a0 manufactured by \u2018Coulomb Technolgies\u2019.\u00a0 JSU joined Mississippi State University and the University of Mississippi Medical Center, as one of Mississippi\u2019s first major forays into the EV market.<\/p>\n \u201cElectric vehicles are gaining widespread acceptance as an important technology solution for the nation\u2019s energy future,\u201d said Napolean Johnson, Vice President of Customer Operations for Entergy Mssissippi, Inc. \u201cHowever, the infrastructure must be in place to support the evolution of the technology.We hope our donation of EV chargers to these Mississippi universities will help start that process in this state.\u201d<\/p>\n Currently, these charging stations have the ability to provide a full charge to any electric vehicle on the market. They were donated to these three universities to aid in the technological advancement and were paid for Entergy shareholders.
