<\/a>Kachelle Pratcher & Sycreis Wilson<\/strong> The Latasha Norman Center for Counseling and Psychological Services at Jackson State University has recently released an informational touch screen kiosk located in the H.T. Sampson Library, first floor reference area. There is also one in the Jackson Medical Mall.<\/p>\n The main goal of the kiosks is to provide information to students on what services the Latasha Norman Center provides.\u00a0 The LNC, located on the 2nd floor of the Student Center assists students with problem-solving skills, managing relationships, and provides counseling services.<\/p>\n At this kiosk, students and other will find an interactive way to gain information about various issues such as mental health, alcohol abuse, domestic violence, depression, and more.\u00a0 The kiosk also features a link to a stduent health magazine that\u00a0 gives tips about balancing and keeping good mental and physical health.<\/p>\n Another feature of the kiosk is the opportunity to take a survey about services related to the LNC.<\/p>\n Two students who used the kiosk said they found it to be informative about various subjects.<\/p>\n \u201cThe kiosk survey was very informative. I learned a lot about domestic violence that I ddin\u2019t know.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad that JSU is being proactive in getting out the word on domestic violence, in hopes of preventing any future incidents of violence as it relates to students.,\u201d said Willie Mosely, a senior mass communications major from Pelahatchie, Miss.<\/p>\n LaToya Young, a freshman biology major from Tchula, Miss., said: \u201cUsing the kiosk was a good experience. Doing the survey taught me how serious domestic violence is. The survey was not trying to get all in my business but was trying to teach me the importance of preventing domestic violence.
