“My mom was told that she couldn’t give birth because of some things that had happened to her. When she got pregnant with me, they actually gave her medicine to terminate the pregnancy because she was told that if she went through with the pregnancy, it would end her life. But, I still made it through. We both did.

I was supposed to be born in November, but I was born in June – four and a half months early. When I was born, I weighed 1 pound and 6 ounces and was as long as a new pencil. And I was breached. Also, I was in my third stage of blindness because my cornea grew backward. But miraculously, it didn’t get to the fifth stage.

How was I born early, underweight, and feet-first but still lived? Because I’m supposed to be here, doing something.

My dream is to be an artist. Music is my passion and helping people is what I love. Growing up, I noticed that through all of my shyness and insecurities, when I sang, I felt comfortable. And I’m able to move people with my singing, and moving people like that feels like a superpower.

So, my name fits me.”
