Longtime R&B sensation, R.Kelly,  makes a comeback with his 10th studio album, “Love Letter.” It includes two of his hit singles “When A Woman Loves” and “Love Letter.”

The self proclaimed “Pied Piper” of R&B is no rookie to the game. R.Kelly made his solo debut in the early 1990’s with tracks such as “Seems Like You’re Ready” and “Bump N’ Grind.”

Although R.Kelly has been in the game for at least 25 years it feels as though he is just coming out with his first CD every time he releases a new one.

Even though his last album “Untitled” was a complete failure, he made a major recovery with his latest disk.

The single, “Love Letter,” is sure to be played at many weddings, since it is a beautiful, artistic, and lyrical masterpiece. The way the lyrics flow with the music puts you in a daze.

According to leisureblogs.com,  Kells said, “I wanna bring love songs back to the radio.”

The blog further states: In his song “Lost In Your Love,” he serves up a series of tributes to heroes past, a personal tour of soul history. He tributes Sade in the sensual sway of “Number One Hit,” channels Micheal Jackson’s keening cries on “Not Feelin’ The Love,” the doo-wop of the Dells and Spaniels on “Radio Message,” a Motown style co-ed duet with K.Michelle on Love Is,” Sam Cooke’s bring it on home to me empathy on “How Do I Tell Her,” and the pleading desperation of Percy Sledge on “When A Woman Loves.”

I agree with leisureblogs.com, because every single song on the album has an old school feel to it. R.Kelly channeled his old school side to compile a Motown remake. The Motown feel to the CD gives the listeners a different outlook on the singer.

Kelly becomes a bit personal and gets back on his freaky side in the song “Taxi” and goes back into his love side, as stated before, in the song “Love Letter.”

I wouldn’t say R.Kelly’s album is his best work yet, but it had me moving in my seat and having flashbacks to the 70’s as if I was there. I say buy “Love Letter” and judge it for yourself.
