“Well, I’ve never really had a Valentine. I would usually cut people off before then. Now I have a boyfriend so of course he’s my Valentine. He’s been saying that we weren’t celebrating Valentine’s Day because he doesn’t believe in a day telling him when to be affectionate. Plus he has to work. Well today he surprised me at work with cupcakes and a stuffed panda bear, my two favorite things. Then he texts me saying “Gift #1”. Don’t tell me when to celebrate Valentine’s Day?”

“So a couple of years ago, a good friend of mine randomly told me I was her crush. And it shocked the mess out of me because I was crushing on her too, heavy. Anyways, we started talking around late January and things took off rather quickly. So in the process, she told me she had never had a Valentine, like she dated people before but they were all jerks. So me being the southern gentleman I am, I set out to make it great for her. So that morning at school, I had her walk to my car with me, where I had a truck full of stuff for her, she cried. Then I proceeded to walk her to her class with her huge bear and took her out that evening. I got nothing in return that year, but how happy I made her was priceless.”

My best was when a friend that had a crush on me finally told me by dressing up in a nice suit and giving me some roses, a teddy bear and a kiss and we went to a movie and out to eat. It was so perfect. I couldn’t believe it.

“My best Valentine’s Day date was two years ago in Biloxi. The reason why I call it the best is because I loved the person I was with at the time. I planned a trip for us; it was a surprise for him. I like surprises as well, so I figured he would enjoy it. I had reserved a hotel where they planned this little event. They plan out the event that we were coming in and everybody was dining. There was also a band playing in the background, I paid an extra $200 so that the band could play, but I didn’t mind because I loved the guy. I dedicated a song for him and the band called him out. It was awesome.”

“My worst was when I bought this guy (ex) a couple outfits for his birthday/ Valentine’s Day and matching bracelets that said Maya and the ex’s name. This was high school, don’t judge me. And I got him a bear and some chocolate. All I got back in return was some yellow dollar tree socks and some chocolate candy.”

“My worst Valentine’s Day was when I thought I had the best boyfriend ever, and I thought he was going to spoil me. Back then the huge teddy bears, where about $40, he promised he would give me one, along with chocolate and roses. So Valentine’s night comes and he knocks at the door. My mom walks in the living room getting ready to go work with all this stuff, I’m thinking it’s for me, but it’s for her coworkers, so I’m like whatever. I answered the door and guess what? I get a little bitty bear, with no flowers, no roses, and no chocolates. He did have Reeses candy, but he ate it while sitting on the couch watching a movie with me. This was the worst Valentine’s Day ever. It was not romantic, he ate the candy he was supposed to give me, no flowers, not the big bear he promised, and only probably spent half a buck on the bear he bought me.”

My worst Valentine’s Day was when I got a life size bear bigger than me and a love note from a boy I found highly unattractive, and when I told him I didn’t like him he tried to beat up the bear cause he was so hurt/mad, then he got smart and just gave it to another girl and they enjoyed the rest of Valentine’s Day together and I slick was a little jealous.”
