The Southwestern Athletic Conference named Jackson State University’s Ayanna Hardy-Fuller to its Preseason All-Conference second-team on Wednesday morning.
Hardy-Fuller, a six-feet redshirt junior forward from Chicago, Ill., finished last season ranked second on the team in scoring with 9.1 points per game. She averaged 5.1 rebounds per contest.
Ayanna dished out nine assists, tallied seven blocks, and registered 16 steals on the seasons, which placed her second on the team. She recorded a .528 field percentage; which ranked her first in the conference and a .510 free throw percentage.
The Lady Tigers were picked eighth in the conference after completing the season with a 20-28 overall record and a 9-9 conference record.
Southern University was picked to win the conference; followed by Prairie View A&M University, Texas Southern University, Mississippi Valley State University, Grambling State University, the University of Arkansas Pine-Bluff, and Alabama State University to round out the top seven teams.
Alabama A&M and Alcorn rounded out the top ten picks, being chosen ninth and tenth to finish in the conference, respectively.
