DaBaby\u00a0scores his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart as \u2018Kirk\u2019\u00a0opens in the top slot.<\/p>\n<p>According to Billboard.com, this effort follows his first studio release, \u201cBaby on Baby\u201d, which peaked at No. 7 on the June 1-dated list. Through the week ending Oct. 2,\u201cKirk\u201d\u00a0starts with 145,000 equivalent album units, of which 8,000 were in album sales, 2,000 in TEA units and 136,000 in SEA units.<\/p>\n<p>The latter sum equates to 181.7 million on-demand audio streams for the set\u2019s 13 songs during its first week, the fifth-largest debut-streaming week for an album in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Jacoby Olden, a freshman biology\/pre-med major from Memphis, Tenn. said, \u201cDaBaby is one of my top five rappers. I think his album reflects him and his growth from his first album.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tyler Perry Studio premieres and pays tribute to black artists<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to Variety, Tyler Perry has put down deep roots in the state of Georgia, becoming the first African-American to independently\u00a0own\u00a0his\u00a0own studio, one whose acreage exceeds that of Warner Bros, Paramount and Walt Disney\u2019s Hollywood lots combined.<\/p>\n<p>In a speech celebrating the opening of his brand new 330-acre studio in Atlanta, Ga.,\u00a0Tyler Perrychallenged his guests to dream bigger, like he had, while turning the former Army base into his personal production play land.<\/p>\n<p>Beyonc\u00e9 expressed her feelings in a post via Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHappy Sunday. Congratulations to Tyler Perry on the opening of his studios. I could feel our ancestors\u2019 presence. Surrounded by my heroes, I watched Denzel, Queen Oprah, Spike, Whoopi, Sir Poitier, Will, Halle, Dame Cicely and our angels John Singleton and Diahann Carroll honored.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued, \u201cThe Armand de Brignac crashed against each soundstage as fireworks lit up the sky. Lo and Shakira to join forces at Super Bowl LIV<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to Yahoo!, Super Bowl Sunday is arguably one of the most highly anticipated unofficial national holidays in the United States.The mega event is set to take place in Miami, Florida at the Hard Rock Stadium on Feb. 2.\u00a0On Sept. 27, it was announced that both Jennifer Lopez and Shakira would be co-headlining the Super Bowl halftime show, which seems to be the perfect gig for the Latina songstresses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I love that, next to J.Lo, we&#8217;ll be representing the Latino community, which is such an important force in the United States,&#8221; Shakira said in a video for the show&#8217;s sponsor, Pepsi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like the fact that they have two Latina women being presented on such a pristine platform.
