Jordan shows off his multiple talents in the new addition to the Creed movie franchise on March 3, 2023. The actor is more than just the star of the film.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The film is also serving as Jordan\u2019s directorial debut. At an official press conference on Feb. 23, 2023 alongside co-stars Jonathan Majors (Damien), Mila Davis-Kent (Amara Creed), a 10 year old deaf co-star, and an American Sign Language interpreter to answer questions from fans excited about the movie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI love the confidence that they have, the questions that they\u2019re asking, they\u2019re attentively listening, and they care. And it&#8217;s good for us to show up and give them the opportunity to do what they love doing,\u201d Jordan said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He added, \u201cIts just good to be present and having conversations. Q &amp; A\u2019s are always cool but just having regular conversations is more of what I love. So, I love the space and giving them space to say what they needed to say.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jordan admitted that there was a lot put in on this film and he believes that the film will capture the essence of the entire story about Adonis Creed. He said that he feels like the third movie reflects the origin story and a sequel at the same time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIf I wasn&#8217;t going to direct again. If this was going to be my last movie, I want to have no regrets. So I didn&#8217;t I didn&#8217;t hold back. I took all my swings,\u201d Jordan said. \u201cThe legacy, something I think about a lot. You know the next generation, something I think about a lot.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He added, \u201cYou guys I think about a lot. You know in how I make decisions and things that I do by choosing to put my name to my energy to voice to.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Majors co-signed the hard work that everyone on the team has contributed to the overall experience of being in the film.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe creative process was quite a collaborative opportunity. As you know, sports fiction is a part of the marketing and the most phenomenal sports franchise in its history,\u201d Majors said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSo the stakes are high. So a big part of it was a bit of the transformation. And Michael is very adamant about saying that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All three actors mentioned that playing their roles was almost like second nature because of the way they had to get to know the characters being portrayed on screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI&#8217;m thinking about what it took for me to play Amara. It was very similar. I felt like we have so many things in common me and the character,\u201d Kent said. \u201cHer personality is much like mine. So she looks up to her dad and she looks up to her mom.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She added, \u201cShe learned a lot from both of them. She has both of their qualities inside of her.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creed III has raised fans expectations extremely high and fans cannot wait to see the journey this new film in the franchise will take them to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI want to do things that will last longer than my body will last. That&#8217;s a big thing for me. So directing this film, me joining a franchise that is around longer than I&#8217;ve been alive. \u201cRocky\u2019s been around for 50 years. And so when Ryan reinvented the wheel, a little bit, with Creed. And had a chance to be a part of my own legacy like that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He added,\u201cAnd, you know, I took it seriously, you know, I didn&#8217;t look at this as, you know, it just so happened.
