Photo: JSU Media Relations.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Bridget Robinson<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>MC301 Contributor<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Staff Writer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Julysses Nobles scored a game high 21 points to end the Tiger\u2019s two game losing streak on Feb. 17 in a win against Texas Southern 75-73 at the H&amp;PE Arena.<\/p>\n<p>With the win, JSU improves to a 9-16 overall and 5-8 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play.<\/p>\n<p>The Tigers shot 47.1% from the field and 87.5% from the free throw line to Texas Southern\u2019s 44.0% from the field and 63.0% from the free throw line. JSU also out rebounded Texas Southern 35-28.<\/p>\n<p>JSU led the game at the end of the half 39-35. The game was a constant second half battle, with six lead changes in the second half.<\/p>\n<p>The Tigers held their largest lead of the game of six with 1:51.<\/p>\n<p>Javeres Brent scored 16 points and Janarius Middleton collected 14 points and 8 rebounds to secure the JSU victory.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019Aris Scarver led Texas Southern with 15 points, Aaric Murrary collected 14 points and 11 rebounds, Law Johnson-Danner received 12 points and Ray Peen ended the game with 11 points.<\/p>\n<p>In women\u2019s action, Junior Ke\u2019ra St John\u2019s 15 points and seven rebounds was not enough to secure a victory as the Lady Tigers fell to Texas Southern 54-61.<\/p>\n<p>With the loss, the Lady Tigers fall to a 9-14 overall and 7-6 Southwestern Athletic Conference play.<\/p>\n<p>In the first half, the lead changed six times and both teams scored 20 points in the paint. Texas Southern led at the end of the first half 28-27.<\/p>\n<p>The second half was neck-and-neck with Texas Southern leading 51-50 at the 4:21 mark. However, the Lady Tigers missed consecutive shots while Texas Southern leading scorer Alexus Johnson secured the 54-61 Texas Southern win with her back-to-back buckets.<\/p>\n<p>Ayanna Hardy-Fuller ended the game with 11 points and 4 rebounds and Kameron Jones scored double-digits as well with 10 points.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson led Texas Southern with 14 points and six rebounds. Keiana Vines collected 14 points and 4 rebounds and Sarah Williams racked up 12 points and 5 assists.<\/p>\n<p>The Tigers are set to travel to Grambling, La. to face the Grambling Tigers on Saturday, Fe. 22 at the Frederick C.
