Others may have already given up thinking, \u201cThis isn\u2019t worth it.\u00a0 I really can not do this anymore.\u201d\u00a0 But before you give up, take these things into consideration:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0 Stop and breathe.\u00a0 School is stressful<\/strong><br \/>\nCollege was never meant to be easy.\u00a0 As soon as you realize this, the less stressed you will be.\u00a0 Take some time out to treat yourself.\u00a0 Watch a movie, eat ice cream, do any little thing that makes you happy.\u00a0 The key to success is being happy and the only person in control of your happiness is you.\u00a0 Do not focus on the negative things.\u00a0 Instead, surround yourself with positive energy.\u00a0 If you are surrounded by positivity, you will think positive.\u00a0 Positivity eliminates depressing thoughts and pushes you to keep going.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0 Realize that midterms are not your final grade<\/strong><br \/>\nKeep pushing and to go to class. It is perfectly okay if your midterm grades were not that good. \u00a0 You still have time!\u00a0 You can take an F to a B, easily.\u00a0 School is one thing that takes hard work and dedication.\u00a0 Consult with your professor on earning some extra credit.\u00a0 Do not have too much pride to ask for help if you need it.\u00a0 If you know tutoring is offered, take advantage of the opportunities presented to you.\u00a0 There are no shortcuts or handouts in college.\u00a0 Bringing your grades up will take determination.\u00a0 It may not be easy, but it can be done.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0 Do not lose sight of the big picture; you are in college for a reason<\/strong><br \/>\nTo chase after your dreams, reach your goals, and strive to become successful.\u00a0 Imagine how your life would be if you gave up on your education.\u00a0 College might seem like a painful race now but think about the prize after you have crossed that finish line.\u00a0 All of the work that you are putting in right now will pay off in the end.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.\u00a0 Never ever throw in the towel<br \/>\n<\/strong>Your breakthrough is coming.\u00a0 You have to endure many tests and trials before you receive your blessings.\u00a0 Be patient, be humble, and be intense.\u00a0 People who give up the fight easily are the biggest losers.\u00a0 Always remember, you can not win the battle if you do not even put forth the effort.\u00a0 If you believe it, you will come out of this semester on top and victorious!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elissa Ann McCool Staff Writer It has been two weeks since the dreaded midterms and the results are in.\u00a0 While some students may have passed with flying colors, there are some who are just not satisfied with the outcome.\u00a0 Some may even be contemplating if they should continue with their studies.
