\u201cTake these Cookies!\u201d Many fans remember this line from Taraji P. Henson\u2019s character, Cookie Lyon and many more from the hit new series, \u201cEmpire\u201d. The series, created by Lee Daniels, has had the audience stoked, breathless, and on the edge of their seats waiting to see what is going to happen next. \u201cEmpire\u201d has pulled in viewers by the millions. According Nielsen ratings, 11.07 million viewers in the 18-49 age group, have been captivated by the hit show. Students on the campus of Jackson State University are no exception and are tuning in every Wednesday to see what the Lyon family has in store. Here are the top ten OMG moments on \u201cEmpire\u201d, according to JSU students we interviewed.<\/p>\n

1. Take These Cookies <\/em><\/strong>Who can forget Cookie\u2019s plea to Malcolm, the head of Empire security, to \u201ctake these cookies\u201d after he saves her from a would be purse snatcher.<\/p>\n

2. Anika betrays Lucious <\/em><\/strong>Anika pays Lucious back for his infidelity by going to Lucious rival, Billy Baretti and becomes the A&R executive for Baretti\u2019s company. Baretti continues his efforts to ruin Lucious IPO.<\/p>\n

3. Cookie and Portia evict Boo-boo Kitty <\/em><\/strong>After Cookie and her assistant find out that Anika is in cohoots with Lucious\u2019 arch enemy Baretti, they arrive to throw Anika out of the empire.<\/p>\n

4. Jamal Comes Out<\/em><\/strong> Jamal used Lucious\u2019 song to come out at the Empire party after being told by his father to let his music tell his truth.<\/p>\n

5. The showdown for Lola <\/em><\/strong>Jamal\u2019s ex wife\u2019s and boyfriend Reggie show up to claim Lola but Jamal isn\u2019t having it. Reggie tries to shoot Jamal but the story takes an unexpected turn when Lucious reveals that he\u2019s the real father of Lola. Malcolm saves the day by shooting Reggie in the head.<\/p>\n

6. Lucious kills Bunkie <\/em><\/strong>Lucious and Bunkie (Cookie\u2019s cousin) had been best friends since they were teenagers but Bunkie\u2019s attempt to blackmail Lucious leads to him being shot in the head.<\/p>\n

7. Andre\u2019s Bipolar disorder <\/em><\/strong>Flashback\u2019s are a reoccurring theme on this show and it takes viewers back to when Andre was first diagnosed with Bipolar disorder while in college. Lucious was in denial about his son\u2019s illness until his son\u2019s behavior begins to affecting Empire.<\/p>\n

8. Lucious throws young Jamal in the trash <\/em><\/strong>A flashback of Lucious throwing Jamal in the trash when he comes down the stairs in women\u2019s clothing was one of the most memorable scenes this season. This scene sets the tone for Jamal and Lucious\u2019 relationship.<\/p>\n

9. Cookie and Anika and Lucious\u2019 Love Triangle <\/em><\/strong>As things turn sour between Lucious and Anika, things begin to heat up between the former couples and leads to a weekend tryst that is discovered by Anika.<\/p>\n

10. Lucious forces\/pays Camilla to leave town <\/em><\/strong>Camilla\u2019s influence doesn\u2019t sit well with Cookie or Lucious and he gives her a big check and tells her to leave the country and Hakeem alone. She makes an even bolder move by ripping up the check and proceeds to tell Lucious that after he dies, she\u2019ll be back.
