Drake just happens to have an entire album of moments. Something just does not feel right to me. I mean, it is fair to say that this has been the most anticipated album of this fall season?

After the success of Drake’s debut album “Thank Me Later” he is being held on an even higher pedestal. He has also been a touring force and created his own festival. That’s all in two years!

“Thank Me Later”, which sold 1.5 million copies has turned the ‘TeenNick’ actor into a household name, better known as ‘Drizzy.’ He has a lot of expectations with his new album “Take Care”. We got a sneak peak of the album with the singles “Marvin’s Room” and “Headlines,” and “Make Me Proud” featuring Nicki Minaj.

A lot of people were curious if we would see the mellow, baritone Drake or the heavy punch line lyricist. ‘Take Care’ is Drake’s sophomore album, baring 19 songs. Officially released in stores Tuesday, Drake’s album has been expected to grasp album sales of 500,000 copies within the first week and to take the #1 spot on the Billboard Charts.

I mean, the numbers in album sales look lovely and that is what the music industry is all about these days. I just hope Drake ditches the path of all this nursery rhyme music constantly playing on my radio. But here is a reminder for anyone who got the album last week by what I call ‘illegitimate means’ or for that matter the good, patient citizens of America who actually purchased the CD, try not to forget about the bonus tracks.

“Hate Sleeping Alone” would be one of the two that were leaked on the internet prior to the release of “Take Care”. Along with some other songs, I do like “Motto” featuring Lil Wayne, which is the second bonus track, “Practice”, which he did a cover to a classic Juvenile song. I also love the album’s leading single, “Marvin’s Room.” But, at the same time, if you allow Justin Beiber to do a cover on your song, something is truly wrong with you.

Overall, the album accompanies Drake’s unique flow. There is a small difference between his first album and this new album. Personally, I am not going to go on a rant telling everyone to buy the album. Hopefully, this isn’t a forerunner to the future of Drake’s 2012 music career, and he will become the male version of Nicki Minaj, where he is just releasing music just because.

Rumor has it that Drake is supposed to be leaving Young Money anyway! Only time can tell and all the fans can do at this point is sit back and watch what happens. And me, maybe I’m angry but I’ll just sit back and laugh.

Diamond Jenkins Staff Writer What is the tea on Drake’s new album?
