{"id":8812,"date":"2017-02-23T17:49:49","date_gmt":"2017-02-23T17:49:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.jsums.edu\/jsuflash\/?p=8812"},"modified":"2017-02-23T17:49:49","modified_gmt":"2017-02-23T17:49:49","slug":"camouflage-and-cropped-pants-top-2017-spring-fashion-trends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.jsums.edu\/theflash\/index.php\/2017\/02\/23\/camouflage-and-cropped-pants-top-2017-spring-fashion-trends\/","title":{"rendered":"Camouflage and cropped pants top 2017 spring fashion trends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.jsums.edu\/theflash2025\/files\/2017\/02\/menfashion.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8836\" src=\"http:\/\/sites.jsums.edu\/theflash2025\/files\/2017\/02\/menfashion.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"257\" \/><\/a>Christopher Rash<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Staff Writer\/MC486<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Camo, cropped pants and distressed jeans are still trending in male fashion in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The military print remains something every man needs in his wardrobe according to fashionbeans.com.<\/p>\n<p>Which is just fine with Jared Edwards, who is required to wear camo as an armed forces member.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am in the Army ROTC, which has caused me to become familiar with wearing the print,\u201d said Jared Edwards jokingly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt gives me that ability to express not only love for my country but also the chance to walk in the footsteps of my uncle,\u201d added Edwards, a junior business administration major from Biloxi, Miss.<\/p>\n<p>According to fashionbeans.com, ankle skinny trousers are out and distressed jeans and cropped pants cut just above the ankle are in for spring 2017.\u00a0 This style is more relaxed but not baggy.<\/p>\n<p>Broderic Simpson believes individual style is most important, not following trends.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFashion is a way of self expression due to an individual being able to dress according to their own individual preference,\u201d said Simpson, a sophomore theatre major from Atlanta, Ga. \u201cThis allows a men to be both attractive while also being comfortable at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nigel Davenport believes that clothing is a representation of personality as well as character.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost males feel confident when their clothing represents their feelings at that current moment,\u201d said Davenport, a junior speech communication major from Vicksburg, Miss. \u201cIt gives males an outlet to be diverse and not feel limited to a box.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Danielle Kincaid appreciates a well-dressed man.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like a well-dress male that presents himself in a presentable manner,\u201d said Kincaid, a junior speech communication major from Texarkana, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Kincaid went on to state that she does not care for sagging pants or the grunge look.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been taught that presentation is everything and that includes in my opinion male\u2019s fashion especially in today\u2019s society,\u201d said Kincaid.<\/p>\n<p>While staying abreast of the latest fashion trends, college students must also pay close attention to budgeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI tend to shop in stores like Burlington and Ross,\u201d said Christopher O\u2019Neil, a junior mathematics major from Chicago, Ill. \u201cThis allows me to be both trending while at the same time staying in my personal budget.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jackson State students that want to be trending can stop at Burlington Coat Factory, TJ Max, and H &amp; M, and more to achieve these trending looks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Christopher Rash Staff Writer\/MC486 Camo, cropped pants and distressed jeans are still trending in male fashion in 2017.
