All of your favorite early 2000\u2019s artists and groups are on tour and are coming to a city near you! This tour has been given the name the Millennium Tour and started on March 5, 2019.<\/p>\n

According to vividseats.com, the tour is mainly a reunion for boy group B2K, but other nostalgic acts were added to the set list to for a bigger audience intake. The official tour schedule was released on Dec. 31, 2018 and the tickets were available to the public on Jan. 4, 2019.<\/p>\n

The line-up of acts so far includes: B2K, Pretty Ricky, Bobby Valentino, Mario, Lloyd, and more! All these acts were very popular R&B artist in the early 2000\u2019s and till this day, their songs and albums they released a decade ago are still being played today.<\/p>\n

B2K, Boys in the new millennium, is a popular boy group that emerged in 1998. The members are Omarion, Raz-B, Lil\u2019 Fizz, and J-Boog.<\/p>\n

The group hit the pop charts in 2001 with their single, \u201cUh Huh\u201d, and they became a household name after the release of their debut album in 2002. Some of their famous songs are \u201cUh Huh\u201d, \u201cBump, Bump, Bump\u201d, \u201cGirlfriend\u201d, and \u201cWhat a Girl Wants\u201d.<\/p>\n

Jayla Nolan, a freshman computer science major from Chicago, Ill. said, \u201cI like B2K, one of my favorite songs from them is \u201cBump, Bump, Bump\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another group on performing in the Millennium Tour is Pretty Ricky. Group members Spectacular and Baby Blue are blood brothers and Slickem is their cousin. The group\u2019s album, \u201cBluestar\u201d made their success soar.<\/p>\n

Nashantia Washington, a sophomore psychology major from Bassfield, Miss. said, \u201cI loved Pretty Ricky when I was younger, listening to songs from them now make me go back.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to riaa.com, Pretty Ricky\u2019s albums \u201cBluestars\u201d and \u201cLate Night Special\u201d are certified gold. Some of their famous songs are, \u201cYour Body\u201d, \u201cGrind on me\u201d, \u201cOn the Hotline\u201d, and \u201cLove Like Honey\u201d.<\/p>\n

One of the singers on the tour is Bobby Valentino. Valentino became popular in 2005 with his self-titled album. His famous single, \u201cSlow Down\u201d was receiving a large amount of radio airplay at the time.<\/p>\n

Valentino\u2019s self-titled album is certified gold and sold over 708,000 copies in the United States. His single \u201cAnonymous\u201d was actually his second single on his album \u201cSpecial Occasion\u201d with \u201cTurn the Page\u201d being the first single.<\/p>\n

Jakari Brown, a music education major from Meridian, Miss. said, \u201cI really liked Bobby Valentino, \u201cSlow Down\u201d was my song; I\u2019m definitely going to go to see him in concert.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another singer that is on tour with all the artists above is Lloyd. Known for one of his famous songs, \u201cGet It Shawty\u201d, Lloyd came into the spotlight in 2003.<\/p>\n

Lloyd\u2019s debut album \u201cSouthside\u201d, released on July 20 2004, debuted at number 11 on the billboard 200. His album \u201cStreet Love\u201d, debuted at number two on the billboard 200, \u201cStreet Love\u201d also has the famous songs, \u201cYou\u201d and \u201cGet It Shawty\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mario will also be taking the stage during the Millennium Tour. Mario came into stardom after the release of his self-titled album in 2001. The lead singles from this album was a remake of Biz Markie\u2019s \u201cJust a Friend\u201d, \u201cBraid My Hair\u201d, \u201cC\u2019mon\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mario released his second album, \u201cTurning Point\u201d, in 2004. This album has famous single \u201cLet Me Love You\u201d on it, causing this album to be more successful than his first. \u201cTurning Point\u201d is now certified platinum and its lead single is certified double platinum.<\/p>\n

Many more artists and groups are set to perform but some of them are surprises for the people who go. The first show was March 8 2019 and some dates are still being added to the tour.<\/p>\n

The next show will be held April 4 2019 and April 5 2019 in Atlanta, Ga. at the State Farm Arena. The tour will be coming to Jackson, Miss. on May 5. at the Mississippi Coliseum.<\/p>\n
