Students and the community can now come to Jackson State University for all of their document and printing needs with the opening of Tiger Prints @ JSU.

“Tiger Prints provides a convenient location, quality service, and delivery to our JSU campus,” said Sharon Griffin, director of marketing for the Division of Auxiliary Enterprises.

The print shop will provide one stop shopping for any type of print job and cater to the students, university employees, and the local community.

The print shop is conveniently located between Alexander Residence Hall and the ID Center, for easy access.  Tiger Prints will give students access to printing projects as simple as homework to more complex print jobs like posters and invitations banners, booklets, brochures, newsletters, catalogs, and much more.

“Tiger Prints will allow the students to become more creative when dealing with class work or homework,” said Bobby Henry, a sophomore health education major from Carthage, Miss.

Khalil Morris, a freshman criminal justice major from Atlanta, Ga. believes the print shop will also be beneficial to student entrepreneurs.

“I feel like Tiger Prints is going to be a great addition to Jackson State University because it will help promote students to advertise their business and will further their business endeavors.”

Providing services to the community in addition to JSU students, staff and faculty will provide additional revenue while also strengthening the University’s ties to the community.

“From an economic and academic stand point, I believe Tiger Prints will benefit the JSU student population,” said Bobby Henry, a sophomore health education major from Carthage, Miss. “Another great benefit is that there will be another business on campus, and it will benefit students when the printer is down.  With Tiger Prints being a business itself it will also allow students to work there for work study purposes.”

Kristen DeLoach, a junior social work major from Jackson, Miss. is also excited about the services that will be provided at Tiger Prints.

“I think Tiger Prints will be really helpful to our campus.  I think it is very convenient that they produce brochures, posters, and fliers.  That is why I believe Tiger Prints will be beneficial during campaign season.  Lastly, I think it is very helpful for people who do not have access to printing capabilities.”
