Breast cancer took the life of Annie’s mother and sister and it threatens to take her life also. However, Annie takes on the disease with a sense of humor and attempts to stop her life from falling apart. Annie’s story intersects with the story of Marie-Claire King, a geneticist that wants to prove that there is a link between genetics and breast cancer.

Synopsis: “Terms of Endearment” is a movie that shows the relationship between a mother and daughter throughout the years. Aurora, the mother, and the daughter, Emma, do not always have the best relationship. Each woman is dealing with problems that affect their mother-daughter relationship. Aurora has a hard time being affectionate and Emma is dealing with her cheating husband that her mother warned her not to marry. It is revealed in the film that Emma is also battling breast cancer.

Synopsis: “Five” is an anthology movie that shows how breast cancer impacts the lives five people. The movie tells the stories of five women named Charlotte, Cheyanne, Lili, Mia, and Pearl. Charlotte is young woman that dies in 1969 of breast cancer. This inspires her daughter, Pearl, to open an oncology clinic, which is the clinic the other women in the movie attend. Cheyanne is an exotic dancer that loses both her breasts to cancer and has to rethink her career choices. Lili is a woman whose mother is in denial about her breast cancer diagnosis. Mia is a breast cancer survivor who handles her disease with an odd sense of humor.
