The new City Girls album has been highly expected and is finally here. City Girls, known for their catchy flow and energetic hits, have just released their latest album, “RAW”.
It features catchy beats, great lyrics, and a mix of distinctive styles and sounds. Whether you are a hip-hop, R&B, or good music fan, “RAW” will indeed have something for everyone.
The album features a mix of hard-hitting lyrics and fun, upbeat tracks that will get stuck in your head. It also features the duo’s signature sound and style, blending trap beats with catchy hooks and funny and relatable lyrics.
The features on the album are also hard-hitting. Lil Durk and Usher add their own blend of uniqueness to the project.
From the slow and sultry “Emotions” to the fast-paced, energetic “Work For It”, the album will have something for everyone. It’s raw and honest lyrics set “RAW” apart from City Girls’ earlier albums.

The third track that stood out to me was “F*** D To The A”. The song is an authentic and catchy track that will have listeners laughing and dancing along. The quality of the song sounds similar to their Soundcloud days, where Miami’s voice sounds scratchy and JT’s voice is in a yelling pitch almost.
The last track to peak my attention is “Flashy,” a harmonious song displaying the duo’s vocal range and
ability to deliver a dreamy vibe performance featuring Kim Petras. This song took me by surprise because it showcases their versatility. Also, adding Petras to the track gave it the pop feel the song needed.
My least favorite songs on the album were “Tonite” and “Pinata.” I didn’t like “Tonite” as much as I would have because the song is not their speed. I understand wanting to expand your audience, but there are lanes they should stay out of, and R&B is one of them.
“Pinata” was all over the place. That should have been a solo song, not added to the project.
The album is terrific. The duo delivers with topics about money, success, heartbreak and betrayal in bold and unapologetic ways and this gives the album a unique and gritty feel.
The album explores new themes and sounds, displaying the group’s growth and evolution as artists. I was continuously intrigued with every song that played next.
All around, “RAW” is a solid album from City Girls. The project is a must-listen for fans of the duo and anyone who enjoys trap music with a catchy hook. The album is well-produced, with each track featuring a unique production and a memorable chorus that will stick in listener’s heads.
