Green Bean offers pour-over coffee, cold-pressed juices, tea and pastries.

MomPremier also introduced a way to assist local business owners through a program called Incubator. This program allows small business owners to be a part of Green Bean’s growth. Incubator offers seed funding, management training, mentorship and up to $10,000 in investment capital with no strings attached.

The national fellowship is the PGA REACH inclusion pillar’s flagship program, focusing on engaging a diverse demographic of participants, considering gender, age, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, and veteran status.

The fellowship aims to provide opportunities for minorities and women in the golf industry. The Ohio native is assisting the administration of PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) programming, the flagship military program of PGA REACH, where she plays an integral role in coordinating PGA HOPE Clinics and Play Days across the region.

Additionally, Garcia will support youth player development programming, including PGA Jr. League Golf, and Drive, Chip & Putt. She will also serve as an event coordinator for fundraisers and assist with marketing & communications initiatives to promote all PGA REACH-Middle Atlantic activities.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”” top_margin=”none”][vc_column type=”” top_margin=”none” width=”1/1″][vc_empty_space height=”32px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”” top_margin=”none”][vc_column type=”” top_margin=”none” width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”4703″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space height=”32px”][vc_column_text]Hinds County Court Judge Carlyn Hicks received an extended term by Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves. Hicks was sworn in as judge on July 14, 2020. Reeves extended Hick’s term through Jan. 3, 2022.

In July, Hicks was temporarily appointed by Mississippi Supreme Court Chief Justice Mike Randolph as a special judge for the Hinds County Court. The appointment was due to the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Melvin V. Priester Sr.

Among her accomplishments, Hicks previously served as director of the Mission First Legal Aid Office, a pro bono initiative of Mississippi College School of Law. In this role, she oversaw staff and volunteer operations, providing legal services to more than 1,200 low-income clients annually in metro Jackson. She began working with Mission First as a student volunteer, then became a staff attorney in 2010. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column type=”” top_margin=”none” width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”4698″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space height=”32px”][vc_column_text]Cindy Ayers-Elliott is the owner of Foot Print Farms in Jackson, Mississippi. Located in the heart of West Jackson, Foot Print Farms has been a catalyst for healthy food in the inner city, seeking to give access to a new way of life for thousands of Mississippians.

For the past five years, Foot Print Farms has taken thousands of pounds of food every Saturday to the farmers’ market located in downtown Jackson.

Ayers-Elliott is grateful for the partnership she has grown with USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. The agency has helped her impact many lives. Also, she has been a participant in the NRCS Environmental Quality Incentives Program since 2010, installing six high tunnels, cross-fencing, a micro irrigation system and a water well to name a few. She’s immortalized as the first African American woman in the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame.

The “Bev Johnson Show” has been a weekday mainstay of WDIA for more than 32 years,
taking your calls about politics, celebrity gossip and just about anything else.

“I’m like their girlfriend, the girl next door, so I think they trust me,” Johnson said. “I love these listeners.”

In the mid-1970s as a graduate student in media technology at Jackson State University, Johnson filled in sometimes on the university’s jazz station, WJSU. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column type=”” top_margin=”none” width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”4704″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space height=”32px”][vc_column_text]Dr. Keenya G. Mosley is the new president of the Georgia Association of Teacher Educators (GATE). GATE, which was established in 1971, is a state organization and serves as an affiliate of the national Association of Teacher Educators (ATE).

Mosley is the owner of Mosley Education Consultants and P&K Transport Savannah, LLC. Nationally, she serves on committees for the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) and trains new professors in their first few years of teaching as a part of the Induction Symposium for New Professors.

She also holds memberships in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Junior League of Savannah, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Inc. In addition, Mosley serves as the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE) Spelling Bee Region Eight consultant. Grimes is a leading international figure on vitiligo and pigmentation disorders. As the director of the Vitiligo and Pigmentation Institute of Southern California, she treats patients who have traveled to her office from throughout the world. She is a dedicated clinician, researcher and speaker, lecturing on pigmentation disorders, cosmetic procedures, chemical peeling, fillers and microdermabrasion. She is also serving as a clinical professor of dermatology at UCLA.

Dr. Grimes is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Dermatological Association, Society of Investigative Dermatology, Dermatology Foundation, International Pigment Cell Society and Women’s Dermatologic Society.
